Owen Developments selected by MINI Challenge as turbo technical partner

Owen Developments Ltd, the UK’s leading forced induction specialists and official turbo supplier to both the British Touring Car Championship and the FIA Formula 2 Championship, is pleased to announce a new technical partnership with the UK’s long running MINI Challenge series.

Owen Developments will be supplying technical expertise and servicing for the Borg Warner turbochargers used on the latest R56 versions of 215 bhp John Cooper class cars, which compete in the 20 race MINI Challenge championship, which is organised in conjunction with MSVR.

“It is most important for any one make series to have a fair technical environment,” says the MINI Challenge’s Paul Harvey, “and our partnership with Owen Developments, along with the engine testing conducted at BMW Hams Hall Plant, will give our competitors more confidence and make the MINI Challenge even more technically robust.”
