Cars That Go Fast: Top Class National Car Race Action At Croft Top Class National Car Race Action At Croft ================================================================================ Elton on 12 April, 2010 01:04:00 The Hampshire-based British Automobile Racing Club Ltd makes the trip north as more top quality car racing heads for Croft Circuit near Darlington next weekend (17/18th April, 2010) with another action packed programme. Included on the bill within a sixteen race feast are both top quality sports and saloon car racing coupled with exciting single-seaters who will be doing battle around the North's premier racetrack over the two day meeting which comprises rounds of a number of national as well as local championships. The increasingly popular Darlington & DMC-organised Northern Sports & Saloon Car Championship kicks off the 2010 season with a double header and plenty of local drivers and a wide array of cars amongst the 37-strong grid will be in action including Darlington driver Paul Moss (Citroen Saxo), Hartlepool veteran Mick Starkey (Ford Fiesta) and Middlesbrough's Mark Campbell (Lotus). There will be an historical element to the single-seater action when the Universal Racing Services Classic Formula Ford 2000 and BBE/URS Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championships battle it out in their respective races in what will be an exciting and fast-paced formula for pre-1984 single-seater racing cars with wings and slick tyres. Cars from yesteryear are also catered for with two outings for competitors in the BARC Classic Clubmans Championship although their modern counterparts will be in action with two rounds of the BARC Dunlop Clubmans Championship. The Easytrack Caterham Graduate Championships proliferate throughout the weekend with two races each for Classic Graduates, Super Graduates and Mega Graduates seeing healthy grids and plenty of close action. Practice gets underway at 09.30 on Saturday with the first of seven races scheduled to start at 13.45 with Sunday's action seeing nine races starting at 12.30. Adult admission is just £12 each day, including free paddock and grandstand seating (if available) with accompanied children aged 15 and under admitted FREE.
