There is still time to join the tremendous line-up of machinery set to contest the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Manx Classic.

Entries for the popular event are already up on previous years, and the list includes a mouth-watering collection of awesome cars.

More than 40 entries have already been confirmed, with drivers travelling from as far as Gibraltar to take in the three-part competition in the Isle of Man, but the organisers at the Manx Motor Racing Club are keen to add further interesting vehicles to the line-up.

With a rich variety of classes for classic to modern marvels, the Manx Classic always offers a fantastic selection of vehicles.

Several examples of the fabulous GTD-40, the modern replica of Ford’s legendary GT40, are already confirmed to contest the Manx Classic, which runs from April 17 to 19.

Lotus will also be well represented at the Classic, which forms two rounds of the 10-event Paul Matty Hillclimb Challenge.

Alongside models including examples of the Exige, there will be a variety of racing versions.

Plus, the Lotus 7 Club will be making the journey to the Isle of Man, as will the Morgan Club.

As always, the Manx Classic will feature some rare treats. Already confirmed for the 2008 event is a Buckler. It is hoped more models from the car-maker which enjoyed an illustrious, but short-lived career until the mid-1960s, will also join the entry list.

The 2008 Kaupthing Singer anf Friedlander Manx Classic starts at 6.30pm on Thursday April 17 with the Bray Hill Sprint in Douglas. The event makes use of a section of the legendary TT circuit, but in the wrong direction, starting from the bottom of Bray Hill and running up to the TT Grandstand.

The next event, starting at 9.15am on Friday April 18, is the Sloc Hill Climb. This is one of the most challenging hillclimbs in the British Isles, set in spectacular scenery.

The final event of the Manx Classic, starting from 9.15am on April 19, is the Lhergy Frissell Hill Climb in Ramsey. This takes the action back onto the TT Course for a superb challenge, from Whitegates to the Gooseneck via Ramsey Hairpin.

Entries must be submitted by Saturday March 22, 2008.
