To recognise the UK motorsport industry’s high achievers from the past year, the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) last week (Thursday, January 8) announced the winners of its coveted Business Excellence Awards during its annual Awards Dinner at the Autosport International Show, NEC, Birmingham.

All motorsport companies are eligible to win one of these sought-after awards, nominations for which are made by the MIA membership. This demonstrates that the winners have earned the respect and support of their industry peers, and makes the awards especially meaningful to the recipients.

Taking place on the evening of the first day of the Show (NEC, Birmingham, January 8-11), the sell-out dinner was attended by an audience of some 500 representatives of the international motorsport community. It was hosted by Autosport International with additional backing from the individual award sponsors listed below, plus: Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Etihad Airways and Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd. The guest speaker was the award winning impressionist and star of the hit TV show ‘Dead Ringers’, Kevin Connelly.

The Business of the Year Award (sponsored by Xtrac)
