Lucas Oil has introduced an additive designed to combat fuel system problems caused by ethanol in petrol.

Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner has been specially developed to help prevent corrosion and degradation in fuel hoses.

Ethanol is increasingly added to petrol because it helps reduce exhaust emissions by improving the flow and the burn of the fuel. A downside is that it can have an aggressively corrosive influence on fuel hose materials and - especially in vehicles over 10 years old - it can lead to perished hoses.

Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner contains effective additives to prevent rust and corrosion associated with the use of ethanol fuels. It cleans injectors, valve seats, combustion chambers and other critical fuel components. It also contains effective oxidation inhibitors to stabilize fuel and prevent varnish and gum formation, working to combat deposits and protect against the harmful effects of alcohol combustion.

A single fluid ounce of Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner treats five gallons of fuel.
