HRCR on show at Chatsworth
News from the Historic Rally Car Register
The HRCR is the leading club for rallying in cars that typified the first two decades of the BRC story, and promotes a range of events for the type of cars that competed in the very first years of the BRC.
In 1958, the inaugural BRC was won by the Triumph TR3A of Ron Gouldbourn and Stuart Turner and that type of car is still very active with the HRCR, competing on events that bring back the flavour of rallying in the late 1950s.
Moving forward in the BRC story, through the 1960s and 1970s the championship was won by cars like the Mini Cooper, Lotus Cortina, Ford Escort Mk1 and Ford Escort Mk2, and those are the type of cars now thrilling fans in the Dunlop/Gambia MSA British Historic Rally Championship.
"Anyone keen on the first 20 years of the British Rally Championship will find lots going on in the HRCR to suit their interests," said an HRCR spokesman. "We are keen to welcome them to our stand at Chatsworth to tell them more about the wide range of events that are run under the HRCR umbrella."
Visitors to Chatsworth are invited to visit the HRCR stand to find out more about one of the most active clubs in British classic rallying. New members joining the HRCR during the show will benefit from 15 months of membership for the normal price of 12 months.
