The RAC Rally rightfully has a reputation as one of the toughest and most spectacular events ever to grace the World Rally Championship schedule.

Now you can relive action-packed highlights from four of the most memorable years of this breathtaking event. Never previously available on DVD, these programmes bring you comprehensive coverage from 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995.

The four brand new DVD titles are the latest additions to our collection of classic RAC events, which already cover 1983 to 1991.

Each DVD is packed with stunning rally action from each year, and features legends of the sport including Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Makinen, Didier Auriol, Ari Vatanen and many, many more. There’s plenty of incredible in-car footage, interviews with the stars and some special extra features.

The 1992 RAC Rally highlights programme charts the final round of a finely balanced title battle, with three drivers split by just three points. This is the full story of the nail-biting season finale as Sainz, Kankkunen and Auriol fight for the championship. Plus, the DVD includes in-car action from 10 stages courtesy of British hero Richard Burns. The title had already been won by Kankkunen as the WRC arrived for the 1993 RAC Rally, but that didn’t prevent the event being an explosive season finale. Heavy snow and treacherous ice made this one of the most challenging RACs for many years, with even the best being caught out by the conditions.

McRae was the undoubted star of the show, so nearly taking his Subaru Impreza to victory before cruel fate intervened. The DVD also features five on-board stages courtesy of Malcolm Wilson and Kankkunen. Just one year later McRae could celebrate victory at home, becoming the first Brit to win the RAC for more than 15 years. Although the Scot’s exuberant style sometimes saw his rallies end in disaster, his performance on the 1994 RAC Rally was masterful, and invincible. He took 13 stage victories from 24 stages on his way to an historic win, a triumph which overshadowed the title battle between Sainz and Auriol.  

The 1994 highlights programme includes two on-board stages courtesy of McRae and fellow British rally star Mark Higgins. Last, but by no means least, we have the 1995 RAC Rally – without doubt one of the most important WRC events in history for British fans. McRae, still furious from being denied victory at the previous round, came to his home rally determined to become the first-ever British World Rally Champion.

This DVD captures the entire story of a dramatic and eventful RAC, letting you relive the roller coaster of emotions as McRae and co-driver Derek ringer give it their all in pursuit of glory. Watching the Scot claw back a 39 second deficit to teammate and title rival Sainz on the closing stages is true edge-of-the-seat viewing, this is McRae at his absolute best and seeing McRae secure the World Championship is a moment you will want to savour over and over again.
